Babysitting Peyton

This weekend Duane, Mom and I got to babysit my nephew Peyton all weekend while his mommy and daddy attended a wedding in North Carolina. We had so much fun with the little guy. He is a such good baby, what I'd call very low maintenance which is just my style. He sure makes it feel easy. That got me thinking and wondering how it will be when Karlee gets here. It was so much fun with Peyton. We got to use and try out a few things we have for Karlee like her exersaucer, crib and monitor. However, we had trouble getting the monitor to work but Duane managed to get it to work. He even got the musical thingy to play on the ceiling.......so cute! Here are a few pict from the weekend.

Beautiful Poem

It's time for referrals to be announced any day now and so we wait and wait to see just how far they (CCAA) will go this month. No, we will not be getting our referral this month but hopefully after the new year. I found this poem on another blog and it beautifuly expresses what we soon will experience and I can hardly wait for Gotcha Day!

A Moment In Time

You take a child from a far away land
You take a mother with a photo in hand
You put them together in a special way
It's a moment in time-called Gotcha Day.

Some children cry out, others just stare
They don't comprehend what's happening there
But God in His love and mercy proclaims
It's time for these babies to have some new names.

A name with a face, your child now embraced
The heart ache of waiting is quickly erased
That half empty feeling is filled to the brim
The love that's expressed spills over the rim.

If you've been in that room and seen the display
Of love flowing out in this marvelous way
You'll never forget for the rest of your years
The gallons and gallons of joyous spent tears.

This moment won't end, a family now starts
The love just keeps coming direct from the hearts
Of mothers whose dreams have now become true
A great moment in time, its love's grand debut.

Mc Dreamy Or Mc Steamy?

Okay, I am a little crazy when it comes to Greys Anatomy. It is one of my favorite shows. Why they switched to Thursdays is beyond me. If you ask me they should move Desperate Housewives straight to the trash can. It has gotten so stupid I can't stand to watch anymore. I love Dr. Shepard but have become quite fond of Dr. Sloan aka Mc Steammy this season. But not sure who I'd pick if I had to choose a favorites. Seveal polls show Mc Dreamy as the favotite and I somewhat agree but something about Dr. Mark Sloan is extremely sexy! Just wondering who's your favorite?

Anyways, back to reality, I have got to get ready for work!

Just a Little Note

Just a little update on the weight loss challenge. WW is not going to well. Kinda got side tracked back with Duane's granny's funeral and with Justin's wedding. Family gatherings and good food do it every time. However, I am still going to gym regularly!!! Big pat on my own back!!!! Actually, I am enjoying the gym a lot. It's still torture getting there but once I am there it all good, and I feel GREAT afterwards. I just wished my feet did not hurt so bad. Maybe this week will be better with WW. Try Try Again!

Just Another Day

Well it is just another day here in never never land. Well atleast it feels like we are never going to get that referral. This wait is really getting to me if you can tell by my mood. Actually, I would wait forever but what really pisses me off is that we are having to redo paperwork. Who's fault is that? Actually, it's China for taking so long and then our own Gov't. Thanks to Homeland security, we will have to spend another $1000 to redo/update our documents. I'ts just plain bull-shit if you ask me. This whole waiting thing is just not fair. It's not just the money issue, its the incovienence of having to do it all over again. Don't get me wrong, I would and will doing anything to bring my daughter home it just that I don't feel I should have to! Especially, when we have done and gone through so much to get here already.

Anyways, sorry to be so crabby but those are my feelings today. I know we are getting closer with every day. It just I have so much to do already and I am a little overwhelmed by it all. For starters, I need to renew my drivers license by my birthday in Novemeber; renew my cosmetolgy license by the end of November; take 8 hrs of continuing education for the renewal of cosm. license. And then of course, send in paper work so Duane, mom and I can get refinger printed before Decemeber. Then in January, I will work on th renewal of our I-600/I-171 form. Did I mention I work two jobs? The only good thing out of all this is that it will take up time and soon enough this year will be over. And I can't wait to say good riddance to 2006. Well, I believe I have said enough for tonight.
